A Vision Brought to Life

Blazing Sol was founded in 2022 by Selena Rodriguez, an artist, teacher, and Chicago native. After years of teaching, she felt a deep desire to create something of her own—a space where art could be explored outside the classroom, and where people of all ages could experience the same joy and discovery she had witnessed countless times with her students. 

Blazing Sol was born from the belief that art is more than just making something beautiful. Art is play, discovery, self-expression, and an opportunity to step outside the everyday and create with freedom and confidence.

In the classroom, Selena witnessed how creativity could unlock something powerful in both children and adults. Whether it was a student mixing colors for the first time, someone reconnecting with their artistic side, or the simple joy of making something by hand, art had a way of bringing people into the present moment, sparking connection, confidence, and joy.

Through Blazing Sol, Selena has expanded that mission beyond the classroom, bringing art experiences to people of all ages through celebrations, workshops, community gatherings, paint nights, and creative events designed to inspire connection and self-expression.

We believe creativity is for everyone, and that some of life's most meaningful moments happen when people gather, create, and connect.
